Navadurga: the deity of making the devotees victory over the rivals or foes. Location: Eastern corner of Bhaktapur.

The deity helps
•    Devotees to have a victory over the rivals and foes;
•    Devotees to have a victory over the enemy in a war;
•    Devotees to get victory over diseases.

Devotees pledge to ‘bhakal’ of making offerings of
•    Regular puja comprising holy water, flower, rice, amber or vermillion, and wicks soaked in oil;
•    Regular puja plus a suckling pig along with yogurt and flattened rice;
•    Offering of a large feast at the home of devotees;
•    Offering of cotton balls made of cotton yarn of three different colors: white, red and black;
•    Offering of (kokha) five-color cotton cord made of five colors such as white, red, black, green, and green.

Devotees make the offerings of five-color rope at the final days of Dashain when the Navadurga takes a new life.
